Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up About Her Experience on 'Stranger Things' and Exciting New Ventures

Millie Bobby Brown, renowned for her role as Eleven in the hit series 'Stranger Things,' recently shared her thoughts on the show and her future projects in an interview with Glamour magazine. The young star, who will bid farewell to the show after its fifth and final season, expressed her readiness to explore new creative avenues beyond the world of 'Stranger Things.'

Acknowledging the impact of the series on her growth as an actor, Brown mentioned that while it had been an essential part of her life, she is now eager to delve into storytelling that aligns with her personal passions. "Stranger Things" has been a significant commitment, she explained, making it challenging for her to pursue projects that deeply resonate with her. Reflecting on the end of the show, she expressed gratitude for the experience it provided while emphasizing her enthusiasm for the new opportunities awaiting her.

One of her highly anticipated upcoming projects is "The Electric State," a post-apocalyptic film by the Russo Brothers, where she stars alongside Chris Pratt. Brown eagerly shared her excitement about the chance to work alongside a seasoned actor like Pratt, emphasizing the importance of being treated equally and with respect on the set.

Beyond discussing her future endeavors, Brown also opened up about the challenges she faced during press tours for "Stranger Things," particularly as a young teenager. Recalling instances where she was criticized for supposedly overshadowing her co-stars during interviews, Brown revealed that she was subjected to hurtful remarks, being labeled "an idiot" and "stupid" by adults. Despite being naturally talkative and energetic, the negative feedback made her hesitant to speak up, leading her to withdraw during interviews to avoid any further criticism.

Her own experiences with unwarranted scrutiny have fueled Brown's passion for advocating for the protection of young actors in the industry. She emphasized the importance of treating underage performers with care and sensitivity, highlighting the detrimental impact of harsh criticism on their mental well-being and development.

In addition to her acting career, Brown recently achieved another milestone by publishing her debut novel, "Nineteen Steps." As she prepares to bid farewell to the iconic role of Eleven, Brown remains determined to chart her own path, embracing new opportunities for creative expression and personal growth.
